FHN at CSW68 - ‘Crisis, catalyst for change! How emergencies can accelerate gender justice’

  • Second Floor, Church Center at the United Nations New York, NY United States (map)

Crises often deepen inequalities, but also can catalyze transformation. They can be a catalyst for positive change: a chance to build back better and challenge harmful gender constructs. Join women’s rights organizations on the frontlines of emergency response in the Global South to hear how their innovative humanitarian approaches, knowledge, and expertise achieve true gender justice. Join a discussion on the risks they take to deliver essential services to women, girls and marginalized people in their communities; and how revolutionizing funding systems is essential to dismantling systemic drivers of inequality, using crises to accelerate equality and human rights.
